[Intended use]

This product is used for in vitro qualitative detection of the methylation status of SDC2 gene in the DNA of intestinal exfoliative cells in human stool samples.

Existing research has found that gene methylation is closely related to the occurrence and development of cancer. Studies have confirmed that the methylation status of SDC2 gene is related to the proliferation of colorectal cancer cells. Compared with normal tissues, SDC2 gene shows a high level of methylation in colorectal cancer and adenoma tissues, suggesting its clinical value as a diagnostic marker of colorectal cancer. This product is applicable to the auxiliary diagnosis of patients recommended by clinicians for colonoscopy, not as the basis for early diagnosis or diagnosis of tumors. In the specific clinical application, clinicians should combine the actual situation, and should not take the test results of this product as the sole basis for clinical diagnosis.

[Inspection Principle]

This product is based on real-time fluorescent PCR technology. It detects the methylation status of SDC2 gene by designing methylation specific primers and probes.

The DNA extracted from feces is transformed into bisulfite and used as a template for double fluorescent PCR amplification. The FAM labeled fluorescent probe signal is used to indicate the methylation detection status of SDC2 gene; BF650 labeled fluorescent probe signal is used to indicate the detection status of the internal standard gene, i.e. human housekeeping gene ACTB, and to evaluate the content and quality of DNA in the sample.

The product is also provided with positive control and negative control to participate in the testing process.
